About the Authors

LLOYD N. SHIELDS is a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Shields Mott Lund L.L.P., devoting his practice to the litigation of construction, surety, business, technical, products liability, copyright, trademark and patent cases and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Shields received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Tulane University and his Juris Doctorate from Tulane at Loyola University School of Law since 1987 and written and lectured on construction law and related topics to a variety of professional groups. Mr. Shields has been a member of the Construction Arbitration Panel and Construction Mediation Panel, American Arbitration Association and the New Orleans, Louisiana and American (member, Forum Committee on the Construction Industry) bar associations.

Daniel Lund III

DANIEL LUND III is a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Shields Mott Lund L.L.P., and is engaged in general civil litigation, focusing primarily on construction industry and surety matters, products liability, telecommunications law and zoning. Mr. Lund received his B.A. degree in philosophy from the University of New Orleans and his J.D. degree from Tulane University. He serves on the Construction Arbitration Panel and the Construction Mediation Panel of the American Arbitration Association and on the Panel of Arbitrators for the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Lund is admitted to practice before all courts in Louisiana and the United States District courts in Louisiana. He is a member of the American Bar Association forums on the Construction Industry and on the Entertainment and Sports Industries, and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
